EGUSD seniors earn athletic scholarships

Every day, high school athletes practice tirelessly in gyms, on courts and in the fields. From these dedicated athletes, a select few are chosen to continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level.
Numerous athletes in various sports throughout the district have been offered athletic scholarships. The following student-athletes have committed to the following colleges/universities:
Elk Grove High School
- Alex Basquez will sign with Ohio University to play softball.
- Jake Rodriguez will sign with Oregon State University to play baseball.
- Will Soto will sign with California State University, Sacramento to play baseball.
- Chelsea Suitos will sign with the University of Arizona to play softball.
Franklin High School
- Paige Castro will sign with Farley Dickinson University to play softball.
- Laura Ginn will sign with California State University, Sacramento to play softball.
- Hunter Greenwood will sign with California State University, Sacramento to play baseball.
- Gena Johnson will sign with the University of the Pacific to play basketball.
- Brynne Konkel will sign with the University of Oregon to play soccer.
- Nmeka Ofodire will sign with the University of California, Berkeley to play soccer.
- Jason Taasaas will sign with the University of the Pacific to play basketball.
Pleasant Grove High School
- Sarah Konkel will sign with Fordham University to play volleyball.
- Alyssa Tiumalu will sign with the University of California, Los Angeles to play softball.
Sheldon High School
- Tyler Linehan will sign with California State University, Fresno to play baseball.
