Elk Grove Adult and Community Education to offer early bird registration day
Elk Grove Adult and Community Education (EGACE) will hold an Always Learning Early Bird Registration Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, January 21, 2012. This event will give students the opportunity to meet with Always Learning instructors and EGACE career technical education advisors, as well as meet staff from Boston Reed College and J&L Teamworks Academy. Students who register at this event will receive discounts on Always Learning classes. The Always Learning program offers a variety of computer, cooking, art, interior design, personal growth and special interest classes. In addition to Always Learning classes, EGACE provides an extensive Career Technical Education program. This program provides opportunities to learn a new trade in the following fields: Pharmacy Technician; Phlebotomy Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Administrative Assistant and A+ Certification. EGACE also offers a variety of opportunities for adult students to obtain their High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Adult English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes are also offered at a variety of school sites throughout the Elk Grove Unified School District. The new EGACE Winter/Spring catalog is now available online on the EGACE website. The catalog not only highlights the classes and programs previously listed, but also provides information on testing and assessment services; Partners Parent-Participation Preschool and Workforce Development services.
